Work/Life Well-Being Programs for VCU Staff taking place during Employee Appreciation week March 6th, 2023!
Faculty and Staff get free access to the Cary Street Gym and the MCV Recreation Center during Employee Appreciation Week, March 6th-10th, 2023.

Join us virtually for Mindfulness Meditation with RecWell. Take a break from the news, social media, or telework responsibilities to find a moment of quiet reflection in the middle of your day with meditation.

Monday, March 6th, 12pm-12:30pm
This is a slower 30-minute practice focused on active stretching of muscles and opening of connective tissue. Release built up tension, prevent injury, increase blood flow to muscles, and increase long-term flexibility. No equipment requirements, though a yoga mat is recommended.

LES MILLS GRIT™ is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and oxygen consumption. This workout uses barbells, weight plates and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. VCU RecWell will offer FREE Chair Massages to faculty/staff on the following days/times and locations:
- Tuesday, March 7th, 11:45am-1:15pm with Rhonda (as part of the Career Development Conference in Student Commons)
- Wednesday, March 8th, 11:30am - 12:45 pm with Solomon (Cary Street Gym lobby)
- Thursday, March 9th, 5:15pm-6:15 pm with Rhonda (Cary Street Gym lobby)

RamStrong is a wellness initiative created by a team at the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute. The team recognized that VCU has many different wellness resources for faculty, staff, and students but envisioned a collaborative tool where the entire VCU community could easily access resources to support their own holistic well-being.
VCU RecWell offers numerous virtual and in person programs available to VCU Staff, such as Fitness and Wellness classes, Outdoor Programs, Parent and Child Programs, etc.
