May 16th, 2024 is the 13th Annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) and the VCU Staff Senate Accessibility & Inclusion Working Group wants to highlight a special event available to VCU and VCU Health System staff!
Please join us for a half day event held via Zoom including four engaging sessions giving participants a foundational understanding of GAAD, how VCU takes steps to make websites accessible, a workshop on plain language and accessible presentations, and a workshop on empathy in this space.
We will have John Robinson from Our Ability, Inc. as the featured keynote speaker to tell us his story and the work that Our Ability does around accessibility and AI. Participants will come away with resources, tools, and a deeper understanding of accessibility in the digital world.
